Resumen
This thesis presents the development of a pedagogical proposal supported in the use of ICT with the objective of supporting the teaching process of Thematic Cartography applied to the study of Geosciences through the design and implementation of a free course in a virtual environment, which allows to highlight the scope of the thematic map as an instrument of support for the intelligent management of the territory. In this way, the ADDIE instructional design methodology, was used in this project, which is composed of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. This methodology offers the possibility of studying the results given from an individual evaluation of each one of these phases and to make the respective feedback to the whole process, so that it allows to evaluate the effectiveness of the instruction in terms of its quality and relevance in the academic and professional work of the students. The final result is a practical theoretical virtual course of complementary training proposed to be developed in a period of six weeks with a total of sixty hours of academic work by the student, aimed at facilitating the appropriation of concepts, criteria and techniques for reading and graphical representation of the geospatial information used and produced in the study of Geosciences and the use of tools developed on web environments for their geovisualization and publication.
