Resumen
Lepidoptera are considered one of the most representative groups and have the greatest impact on vegetation communities, because they play an important role as regulators of plant species, thanks to the fact that in their larval state they are generally herbivores; However, in their adult stage many species modify their diet, thus becoming pollinators of a large number of plants. The lack of information regarding studies carried out with lepidopterans of the Noctuoidea superfamily and specifically those found in high altitudinal ranges, is a problem that leads to ignorance of the different species that may exist in ecosystems. In order to know the taxonomic diversity in each of the plant covers such as the Páramo, the High Andean Forest and the Grasslands, the turnover as species and the temporal turnover, a study was carried out in Páramo Grande, Chingaza-Guasca, Cundinamarca. , Colombia. Collections were made for 3 days per month, focusing each day on a cover, using 6 traps (1 light trap and 5 Van someren traps) at established stations of 1.5 km. A total of 39 species were collected, divided into 22 genera and 3 families, where the largest number of species found was in grassland cover. On the other hand, the months in which most were collected were September and October, corresponding to the beginning of the dry season. Additionally, the complete life cycle of Lichnoptera n. sp.
