Abstract

This document evidences which are the main concepts that should be taken into account account for the development of a research with a qualitative approach that aims to formulate Methodological Elements for the Management and Analysis of Urban Environmental Conflict: Perspective District Observatory of Environmental Conflicts- ODCA Bogotá, D.C; A research that seeks to formulate a management method, to describe the problem, identify the actors, characterize the effects on the environment, classify the stage of the process and propose conceptual intervention strategies. The conceptual framework of the study is developed from the concepts of Environmental Conflict, Urban Context, Cities Latin American, Institutionality, Territory, Community, Local identity, Globalization, Quality of Life and Unsatisfied Basic Needs; regarding the contextual framework of the research refers to describing the urban environment in terms of geography, political, socio-demographic, economic, cultural and environmental. Therefore a bibliographic review and documentary exploration that allows the construction of the framework referential of the project. Currently, environmental conflicts arise to understand how a problem environment may evolve as management alternatives emerge in the territory by different actors, according to this the Methodological Elements for the Management and Analysis of Urban Environmental Conflict: Perspective of the District Observatory of Environmental Conflicts- ODCA Bogotá, D.C, represents a great methodological potential as a guide that guides processes of characterization of properties on conflicts environmental, according to the case studies of the ODCA team in the different localities of the city of Bogotá, where an identification and specific review of the conflict is made determined environmental. Projects related to the environment are of a nature complex, so that the obtaining of results is achieved through the interpretation of multiple aspects, as in the case of the present investigation.
