Resumen
The present document determines the theoretical and methodological approaches, as well as an analysis of interviews and dialogues that account for the research on the knowledge of girls and boys from 4 to 6 years old about gender, whose purpose is to understand the ideas that arise about gender, emphasizing the knowledge that is constructed collectively, permeated by the experience that is reworked when determining childhood subjectivities expressed through language. Girls and boys, through their explanations provided in the dialogues, shape gender knowledge from categories that make a distinction in terms of that unique traditional binary difference and that develop through play as a determining action in the establishment of roles, reflecting the dynamics of families in the accumulation of experiences. One of the most important findings is the consolidation of gender equality and equity in play as the most significant element of life for the girl and the boy, by positioning themselves as a subject that does not determine their social relationships from stereotypes and prejudices that distinguish and point to the other through negative and destructive value judgments, nullifying the dignity of the being for considering it different.
