Resumen
The research project Ecoefficiency Model applied to the optimization of fuels for road transport logistics in Colombia, focused on the investigation of the different fuel optimization methods and techniques used to increase performance, fuel efficiency and / or decrease polluting gas emissions. This investigation consists of 4 stages broken down below: In the first stage, an analysis of the offers or techniques to increase fuel savings was carried out. Second, a classification of techniques or offers that are validated and consolidated in prestigious entities (research) continued. In the third stage, a final evaluation of the studies was carried out and the preparation of the experimentation phase was carried out, finally, an experimentation was carried out with the techniques or methods with the highest percentage of fuel savings and fewer polluting emissions. In this last phase, the experimentation with the EHG hydrogen generator was implemented. This uses electricity from the vehicle's battery to create hydrogen from water. According to the specifications of the device, it was implemented in a light load vehicle with 750 Kg capacity of the DFSK mini van brand and its operation is Natural Gas. Follow-up was carried out for four weeks without this device and in order to carry out an analysis and comparison with the device installed. As a result, a saving in the purchase of fuel of 52% and a reduction in CO2 emissions of 55% was obtained, the production of polluting gases was reduced.
