Concierto Cachoeira: aproximación a la música del Brasil por medio de cuatro canciones populares influenciadas por el jazz

Abstract

This degree work with emphasis on interpretation and creation has as a final result a concert with four songs that fuse Brazilian music with elements of jazz. For this, a descriptive analysis work is carried out which seeks to identify the harmonic, melodic and rhythmic elements in order to understand the style of these musics and, in turn, adapt them to the format of electric guitar and voice, presenting and analyzing each of the musical elements required by these instruments to interpret the selected repertoire. On the other hand, a contextualization of Jazz and Brazilian music is made in order to understand the hybridization of both musical currents, and likewise, two recognized interpreters of these genres are selected, highlighting their history and musical influence.
