Resumen
This monograph exposes in its chapters the theoretical and methodological foundations that allow a semiotic reading of plastic and musical artistic discourses applying Peirce's semiotic-ternary model, taking into account that the act of reading implies, from the first moment, an active reception and a concatenation of processes to reach significance, in which exploring the code of the works and the relationships between their signs leads to meaning as a discursive production, therefore, to become skilled readers of signs.
To this end, it starts from the identification of the grammars of artistic discourses, establishing syntactic, semantic and pragmatic relationships through some pictorial examples and programmatic music, which, supported by literary narratives, contribute to establish an intertextuality as well as the recognition of rhetorical figures contained in the works, mainly allegory, metaphor and personification, which will be the input for the pedagogical proposal in the formation of readers of Humanities.
An educational proposal materialized in the arts as forms of expression that narrate and promote aesthetic sensibility and the strengthening of symbolic competence is proposed. The choice of analysis of the works has as a criterion the temporality of the History of painting, which brings the transformation of the object of representation and the visual code as a morphology of seeing. In the case of programmatic or descriptive music, the symphonic poem and the musical story are especially taken, which easily evoke images in the listener, making intertextualities possible, given the motivation of its sign.
