Resumen
The degree work focuses on collecting research work oriented to environmental issues applied within the District University carried out by students of the same, and thus determine how environmental education has been carried out within the institution. A qualitative documentary research methodology is used, which is based on the investigation of documents that compile facts and studies about a certain topic, Excel and Access software are used as tools to create the database, as well as the state of art as a research method and the survey is used as an instrument to determine the perception that students have regarding environmental education.
An analysis of the state of the art used for the research is carried out in which one can have an idea of the relationship that higher education institutions have had with environmental education and the inclusion of the environmental dimension both at the international, national, and local levels. and institutional. An analysis of the degree works found in which different themes are established around the dimension and environmental education is carried out, such as: the efficient use of natural resources, studies of environmental baselines, generation of strategies for the inclusion of education. environment throughout the university community and the social representation of the environment and the social representation of environmental education that the students of the District University have. The results of the survey are analyzed where it is found that there is still a need to understand environmental education in an interdisciplinary way and finally a series of conclusions and recommendations are established that can improve the integration of environmental education within the District University.
