Resumen
One of the most recurring problems of urban waste treatment is the discomfort that occurs in urban housing, as well as in the collection centers, in the capacity of containment limits. In addition to the problems, in the garbage collection systems, which are implemented in the city of Bogotá, its unpleasant odors and its high pollution power, both water, soil and air. However, they also have a high potential that is not exploited, for many reasons, among them mainly, for an inadequate final disposition and because at the source and in the collection centers, their separation is null. This project proposes to carry out the technical and economic feasibility study of the implementation of a bioenergy system. From the collection of information on urban solid waste - organic in Bogotá, select a multi-family home in the town with the highest percentage of organic waste generation, to apply the system of energy use of residual biomass, to the Common Services of a residential complex located in said locality. The main results indicate that the bioenergy system is viable for profitably supplying electrical energy is required in the common areas of the family and family home, the most appropriate technology to implement in the residential complex is the conversion of waste urban - organic solids in biogas, since the percentage of humidity is high; where the system design consists of a biodigester and an internal combustion engine and an electric generator, which uses biogas as a resource.
