Resumen
The following paper presents some reflections built during the development of pedagogical research "Us-others and the rural. Contributions to the identities of the students from third, fourth and fifth elementary school rural El Hato, Usme, from research-action-learning ". This research part by placing the school within its socializing function, main place where students interact daily, build their identity and form relationships with their context because "individuals are no longer is only in successive roles proposed to students learning, but in its ability to manage its successive school experiences"(Dubet & Martuccelli 1997:14). So are the students who must relate the elements that define them as they are, their family culture, school culture, school knowledge, pedagogical methods and social utilities objective linked to their studies in their identity construction. For this reason, it is necessary to understand the rural school as a stage from which can be promoted his identity, based on a collective work of transformation, in this case from the research-action-learning, where it generates appropriation of practices, knowledge, rural knowledge, in search of strengthening your identity with the rural territory.
