| dc.description | El presente documento da cuenta del proceso de construcción de una investigación-creación, cuyo resultado fue el desarrollo de un libro electrónico multimodal titulado “Throughout a Journey of Social Justice” diseñado para integrar la educación en justicia social en la enseñanza del inglés. El recurso educativo multimodal, estructurado en dos unidades temáticas, combina actividades basadas en la pedagogía crítica con textos, imágenes, audios, hipervínculos y videos para fomentar el pensamiento crítico, el empoderamiento estudiantil y la comprensión de desigualdades sociales, promoviendo la diversidad, equidad, inclusión y participación activa de los y las estudiantes en la sociedad. Basado en un marco teórico-práctico guiado por cinco componentes esenciales de la educación para la justicia social y en la experiencia del investigador-creador como docente y aprendiz de inglés, el material busca fortalecer tanto competencias lingüísticas como críticas, situando el aprendizaje del inglés como un mediador simbólico para la transformación social. Así, el proyecto se enmarca en una visión educativa que fomenta la inclusión, el empoderamiento y la construcción de sociedades más justas y equitativas. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This document outlines the process of constructing a research-creation project, which resulted in the development of a multimodal e-Book titled Throughout a Journey of Social Justice, designed to integrate social justice education into English language teaching. The multimodal educational resource, structured into two thematic units, combines activities based on critical pedagogy with texts, images, audio, hyperlinks, and videos to foster critical thinking, student empowerment, and an understanding of social inequalities, while promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and active student participation in society. Based on a theoretical-practical framework guided by five essential components of social justice education and the experience of the researcher-creator as both an English teacher and learner, the material aims to strengthen both linguistic and critical competencies, positioning English learning as a symbolic mediator for social transformation. Thus, the project is framed within an educational vision that promotes inclusion, empowerment, and the construction of more just and equitable societies. | |
