Resumen
SWAN LAKE the fear towards the unknown is an adaptation of the work The Swan Lake, with choreography by Marius Petipa and music by Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky. It seeks to traverse the language of classical ballet using this iconic work, as a means to play a totally different theme, which is the "segregation" and the fear of man towards what he does not know. The intention of this work, covers more than the theme of segregation, and is the recognition and rejection of the social problem of fear of the unknown, linked to people belonging to the LGTBIQ community, Feminist women who fight to defend their rights and the deep rejection of any type of expression of racism or discrimination based on race, ethnicity or place of origin, demonstrating that man, although by nature he will always feel fear towards what he does not know, must be given the opportunity to understand and understand the other , starting from tolerance and respect. This work seeks to reach the public in a different way to the usual in classical dance assemblies, inspired by the concept of "short ballet" Sergei Diaghilev, making more flexible the possibility of interpretation of the assembly for the viewer, being a format shorter and to touch a topic closer to the social context that is lived in the everyday. Finally, I want to leave in the viewer a question which has accompanied me since I began my training in classical dance, which is what kind of technical training in classical dance do men receive in Colombia?
