Resumen
Gathering the life of John Scofield from the analysis of his works and his artistic career, historical contextualization, biography, works, discography, gear, musical genres in which he participate (fusion jazz, rock, jazz, funk). Six songs are analized from the rhythmic, harmonic, melodic and technical elements (theme, accompaniments, solos): Shinola (Album Shinola, 1981), The Nag (album Blue Matter 1986), Wabash III (Time Album on my Hands, 1989) charriots (Album Meant to be, 1990), Jeep on 35 (album A Go Go, 1998), Endless Summer (Album Überjam Deux, 2013). These songs are from different periods, record labels, genres, formats, which he was in force, marking a precedent on the adaptation of John Scofield as an interpreter. Some of the fragments analyzed shall be compiled into a series of audio tracks, which approximates the reader to a better understanding of the work. From the extracted elements of musical analysis of the songs, an interpretation exercises are designed to apply in different contexts on electric guitar. As a final product an audio recording is recorded of these exercises and an unpublished song based on the compositional, interpretative and technical elements collected in this study.
