La mirada de la discapacidad en la familia de niños y niñas vinculados al Centro Crecer Tejares de Usme de la Secretaría Distrital de Integracion Social de Bogotá, d.c.

Abstract

The present works, allowed to identify what are the myths about disability in the eyes of six families belonging to the social service Centro Crecer Tejares in the town of Usme and Sumapaz of the SDIS of Bogotá D.C; along with the fears faced with the uncertainty in the permanent task of their children, the discriminatory view of society and the null information about their multiple and specific characteristics; in addition to the projections they make about the future of their children, seeking as a common denominator in these families a social inclusion of their children with greater opportunities taking into account their abilities. This was identified through the interview and a workshop as methodological strategies, from a qualitative approach. In order to outline an intervention proposal from the perspective of emotional well-being and strengthening of tools as caregivers.
