Resumen
The following document corresponds to the internship report conducted as part of the degree program in Social Sciences Education at the Francisco José de Caldas District University. The internship involved the development and implementation of a pedagogical proposal in the field of social sciences, carried out at the Antonio Villavicencio District School IED. The main objective was to teach about the cultural heritage of the Jaboque wetland, fostering its appreciation, appropriation, activation, and preservation among fifth-grade students in the afternoon session, in course 502. The classroom project, with a constructivist approach, was developed in a cross-curricular manner by connecting different areas of knowledge and building a comprehensive understanding of the concept of heritage through multidisciplinary learning and the redefinition of students' territory. This approach promoted active participation, knowledge exchange, respect for cultural diversity, and the strengthening of their social and cultural identity. In summary, the internship allowed for the successful development of a proposal to teach about cultural and environmental heritage, positively impacting students and promoting their commitment to the preservation and activation of the Jaboque wetland, as well as the appreciation of heritage as a substantial element of identity and culture.
