Abstract

In recent decades, contemporary dance has generated valuable contributions from research and creation to the field of knowledge of Art, putting as a starting point the body and its relationship with movement, both of them as generators of multiple research in the investigative point, with clear questions that are articulated with the time and space that a body occupies in movement. In this case, the focus of how contemporary dance participates in the process of recognition of the body as territory, connected to the way as perceives the territory that is inhabited in common, linked to the corporal conception specifically from dance practices. Then, the body will be the first territorial container that is owned, a statement that will be evidenced through the research and that was led to the creation and interpretation of the movement, which allows to see the reflexion capacity that the body has in the middle scenic. The creative process is established from collective creation, a method that allows the construction of a Videodance product, capturing the development of research, a costant dialogue with the questions that are considered as subjects creators, driven to the same creative purpose and that is inscribed in the contemporary dance practices.
