El color de la Agüepanela: Una apertura conceptual y crítica desde el proceso de formulación de las políticas culturales de la Facultad de Artes ASAB y desde la ética de la liberación

Abstract

This work presents a conceptual opening based on a situated analysis of the formulation process of a cultural policies document, that has been experienced at the Faculty of Arts of the Universidad Distrital of Bogotá [District University] (ASAB-FAASAB), as well as on conversations carried out with people, internal and external to the Faculty and the University; all this in tension with the ‘Ethics of Liberation’ of Enrique Dussel. The author proposes a discoursing as methodological path and material foundation for the Cultural Policy of the Faculty, that considers life, the living corporeality and “the color of the agüepanela [sugarcane drink]” –an analogous category that comprises the category of “poor”–. This effort of rearguard, that highlights the liberating potency of non-academic and communitarian everyday life inside the FAASAB and the possibilities offered by the nothingness, the relative exteriority and the poor, beyond serving as resource and raw material to produce commodities, is a vitalistic, ethical and critical criterion of all practice fields. From there, three concepts are proposed, polìptics (written like that, with a frank accent towards the left and an additional ‘p’), the culture as re-course and a definition of university cultural polìptics, as utopian assessment mediations of the cultural policies and politics of the FAASAB, on the transformation way of our essences in order to heal the reality.
