Diseño e Implementación del Banco de Información Marino Costero del Caribe Colombiano para el Sistema de Información Geográfica de la Dirección General Marítima

Abstract

This internship was based on the continuation of the task of implementing a Coastal Marine Raster Information Bank of Colombia, specifically the Caribbean Coast, in order to articulate and strengthen the Geographic Information System of DIMAR, implementing Raster information such as satellite images, Digital metric photocopies and LIDAR data, to provide organized information that allows to exercise control and administration of the Colombian coast. For the development of this internship, three main activities were carried out: 1) Analysis and identification of existing information on the server as well as in the BIR of the Colombian Pacific. 2) Incorporation of old images of the "Agustín Codazzi" Geographic Institute to the Raster Information Bank. 3) Implementation of the BIR to the Geographic Information System of DIMAR - SIGDIMAR. This implementation to SIGDIMAR was generated with the help of Raster structures such as the Mosaic Dataset and the Raster Catalog
