Representaciones sociales sobre derechos sexuales y reproductivos en jóvenes de organizaciones sociales de la ciudad de Bogotá

Abstract

The objective of the research was to characterize the social representations about sexual and reproductive rights of 20 young people belonging to youth initiatives in Bogotá city, with the intention of recognizing how behaviors, logics, experiences and ways in which they appreciate the world are constituted. To this end, a questionnaire and a focus group were implemented as key instruments that put into dialogue what the subject interprets and what is exposed in group interaction and communication. Subsequently, an analysis of the information collected was carried out in the light of the theoretical and conceptual references, allowing to typify the representation "autonomy of the subject on his sexuality and reproduction", which is constituted by three perspectives: decision-making about his body, prevention in sexual and reproductive health, exercise of citizenship, which are demarcated by the experiences, training processes, political positions of young people, providing a base tool for the formulation of training processes in sexual and reproductive education.
