Resumen
This research work started with the corncern for comprehend children for who they are considerign their own perception and voice. Based on this, it was seek to comprehend the imaginaries around childhood in some children from the neighboorhoods Mirador de la Primavera in Bogotá and Balcanes from the municipality of Soacha. To achieve this, the research work was theoretically based on de Cornelius Castoriadis´s assumptions about social imaginaries as relentless creations from human beings that built reality, and then to delve into the imaginary meanings (magma). Also, it was consider the discoveries from the Childhood Research Group in his work “Imaginarios de Infancia y la Formación de Maestros” (2008) which analyses and characterizes the social imaginaries of childhood in training teachers. The methodological development of this research work had an interpretative qualitative approach because it inquires into the dynamics of children realities within their context, allowing characterize the children meanings through iconographic and narrative tools. The reflections and conclusions of this document deal with the evidence of different instituted meaning imaginaries by the influence of adults based in a cultural heritage. By last, the analysis shows the characterization of an instituting imaginary, typical from the essence of this experience called childhood.
