Composición de dos obras instrumentales con técnicas contemporáneas para quinteto de cuerdas y percusión

Abstract

Musical composition of two instrumental pieces with contemporary techniques, for strings quintet and percussion. This is an experience of musical creation that is supplied with rhythmic configurations of the popular, articulating a compositional method that locates the framework of the voices and what is derived from this, being this the most perceptible of the work, that take precedence front the development of the sentences. Serialism and randomness were concepts that participated in the invention, creating the relationship between texture, structure and dynamic and expressing the style of the musical material. These two pieces entitled Pirinola y Dados, and Claroscuro are the result of several compositional attempts; they gather a way of working that combines the academic structural order, with natural intuitive gestures, present in the interpretation and improvisation of music from the author's popular context. The pieces are a contribution to the present chamber music in Colombia and fit in a contemporary Latin American context, they pretend to have circulation whit the approach to new audiences, they also propose to encourage musical creation for these formats and participate in the training of new composers in Colombia.
