Resumen
The Glass Frog Sachatamia punctulata, is an endemic species that is distributed on the eastern slope of the Cordillera Central. Its populations have been affected by the degradation and loss of the habitat, added to this are not known aspects of their biology, auto ecology and distribution patterns. This research was intended to describe the habitat of the species, evaluating and determining some of the physicochemical and environmental variables that affected the presence of a population nearby La Miel River, in the Department of Caldas. A total of 25 individuals were registered, between adults and juveniles, during the months of August and September of the year 2017. It was recognized a preference for conditions that recorded percentages of relative humidity between 97 and 99%, ambient temperatures between 23°c and 27°c, pH with values of 7.05 to 7.20 and a redox potential oscillating between -22 and 5 mV, individuals presented a high association with plants of the genus Cyclanthus and small ponds along a stream. In the same way, some type of relationship that could occur between the size of the individuals and the height of their position with respect to the ground was discarded.
