Resumen
Currently one of the social problems that needs more care and attention is the one that has to do with the stage of old age, because in it not only the physical deterioration is conceived, but also the psychological and social, which have inevitably affected to the optimal human development of the older adult of the Simeón Foundation. Additionally, it is necessary to mention that this population is increasing at a district and global level, and irremediably the generational gaps have opened up even more, causing the older adult to be relegated from their family, social and work environment affecting their sense of life and therefore, there are deteriorated affective bonds. Therefore, research, in a qualitative approach, uses intergenerational encounters as a creative and enriching tool to resignify the meaning of life of the elderly, and additionally that of children. Each generation finds the importance of the other in the reflections of their knowledge, life experiences, whether of 8 years or of 70, the recognition is equal, valuable and decisive for each participant. The meetings reflected the co-construction of a society mediated by cooperation, creativity, affectivity, emotionality and dialogue, facts that are significant to support the improvement in the quality of life of the elderly.
