Resumen
The objective of this article is to describe the dynamics of knowledge transfer in a higher education institution located in Bogotá, Colombia, specifically the Technological Faculty of the UDFJC. The methodology included some bibliometric elements and the analysis of both digital information and interviews with OTRI and CATI advisors (units dealing with knowledge transfer at the University). Among the findings, it is evident that the groups and seedbeds do not register in their web pages and their GrupLac mainly their contributions in transference with respect to innovation and technology, in addition only five have active their web pages and three have registered a process or development with the OTRI, all this makes difficult the obtaining of information, however, from Acevedo's perspective, which includes the items of training, technical assistance, products and processes, the groups of the technological faculty do transfer knowledge according to this definition. Transference is one of the applications of the social appropriation of knowledge and this research reveals that in the technological faculty there are efforts but still incipient since it is not only important to make prototypes or innovations but also to ask the question whether these contribute to the resolution of society's problems and whether they have been made known to the community in general with a view to its appropriation of this knowledge. On the other hand, what is in the records is one thing and what is evident in the research practice of the groups is another.
