Resumen
Colombia has about 60 million hectareas of natural forest, of wich 66% are located in the Amazon Region. The management of natural forests in the country is the responsibility at the national level, mainly by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MADS) and at the regional level by the Regional Autonomous Corporations (CAR) and the Sustainable Development Corporations (CDS). In the South of the Amazon, comprised of the departments of Amazonas, Caquetá and Putumayo, the highest environmental authority is the Corporation for the Sustainable Development of the South of the Amazon - CORPOAMAZONIA, in charge of approving forest harvesting procedures located in areas of its jurisdiction. In order to carry out the correct management of natural forests, a set of databases was made to consolidate forest exploitation procedures filed and granted by CORPOAMAZONIA and an analysis of their evolution, as a tool for future decision making in terms of current regulations.
