Resumen
With the evolution of technology and its introduction into every aspect of daily life, complex tasks that used to require significant amounts of time and human resources have been simplified and automated. The banking sector has not been oblivious to this generational change, as it has gone from keeping financial records manually in cumbersome and dangerously vulnerable books to having sophisticated systems that allow any type of transaction to be performed at a click away, guaranteeing the integrity of the information and safeguarding the money from unscrupulous people. However, the infrastructure required to meet this need must be constantly evolving and expanding as more and more users join the digital commerce trend. In 1999 the Colombian government decreed law 527, which defines digital commerce as any commercial relationship, structured from the use of any type of information sent, received or stored by electronic, optical or similar means (Internet, e-mail, etc.). Thanks to the expansion of this new type of commerce, the opportunity is generated to perform the usual financial operations in an easier way, using digital channels. Under this scenario, it is necessary to regulate these technologies, used by market participants; for the national case, these functions were delegated to the Financial Superintendence, which establishes the minimum operating parameters of the systems as well as the useful life of the same in order to ensure the rights of consumers and the availability and security of services. In 2007 the Financial Superintendence issued the external circular 052, entitled "Minimum security and quality requirements in the handling of information through media and distribution channels of products and services", in which it orders all financial entities to implement information management and security systems, This is in order to mitigate the risk of loss, modification or theft of user information due to the use of obsolete technologies or technologies that are not supported by the manufacturers. That is why this project aims to comply with the regulations of the Superintendence of Finance, migrating the core banking currently used in Banco P, also providing another series of benefits for it.
