Abstract

Recent updates to existing construction standards (NSR-10), the mood by making works with better properties and characteristics and the increase in demand requirements by the competent authorities for issuing construction licenses due to recent structural failures displayed in some of the newly constructed buildings in the country, have increased the level of difficulty in consuting works related with strucutral designs. While before there were a number of items to meet in order to obtain a building licence in Colombia, that amount has increased dramatically causing doubts, errors and consequently failure of some of the current regulations which are applied in order to get such licences. This makes it necessary instruction or training to those who have been dedicated to the work to perform calculations and structural design (reinforced concrete) and those who think devote to it in the future, about the proper way in which toIt is organized and presented a structural calculation to the control agencies, in this specific case, the urban curator of Bogotá, in order to obtain a building license. The work to be done is to create an instructive document that serves as a guide in the process, organization and presentation of calculations related to reinforced concrete buildings in the city of Bogotá, by applying a análisis by the horizontal equivalent force method
