Resumen
Biological collections are important museums of biodiversity where the memory and essence of the ecosystems that has been of research interest, therefore they are of vital importance for their conservation and that is that through them, the taxonomic recognition of biological entities, fulfilling a role fundamental for the protection of the country's biological heritage. Currently, at the Francisco José De Caldas District University, the Collection of Arthropods and other Invertebrates CAUD-216, registered in the Single Registry National Biological Collections (RNC). This collection has a wide variety of preserved specimens of different orders of both arthropods and others invertebrates and which is in continuous increase, therefore it becomes constant curatorial work is necessary to allow the correct preservation, updating and systematization of biological material, therefore the purpose of this Work was carried out from the orders Onychophora, Megaloptera, Lepidoptera, Neuroptera, Isoptera, Blattodea and Hemiptera, present in the collection. During this process, the specimens were cleaned, assembled and labeled, ensuring its proper preservation and conservation. In addition, the information was systematized corresponding to these orders, which made it possible to organize and facilitate access to the data taxonomic and biological of the specimens. After performing this analysis, it was found that thecollection required curatorship to guarantee its integrity and scientific value. for the that through this it was ensured that these were properly prepared and available for future research and scientific studies
