Digitalización, catalogación y pesquisa investigativa sobre las agrupaciones pertenecientes al sonido paisa originado en Medellín en los años sesenta

Abstract

The thesis Digitalization, Cataloguing and Investigation About the groups Belonging to the Sonido Paisa Originated in Medellin in the Sixties, provides the digitization and cataloguing of 346 sound files related to the music groups Los Teen Agers, Los Hispanos, Los Graduados, Los Golden Boys, El Conjunto Miramar, Los Black Stars, Los Falcons, among others, that belong to the Antonio Cuellar Sound Documents Repository of the Documentation Centre of Arts (DCA) of the Arts Faculty ASAB, belonging to the Universidad Distrital Francisco Josè de Caldas. Following the IASA guidelines for digitization and cataloguing of sound files, .WAV format files are provided as a result, with the purpose of conservation and MP3 format aiming to ease its dissemination, generated from analog supports of 45, 78 and 33 revolutions per minute (RPM). Likewise, the cataloguing process aims to complement the SIRES database of the CDA, where the Antonio Cuellar collection’s data repose. Aditionally, an investigation to get to know the origin and trajectory of the music groups of the Sonido Paisa, until they got to solidify themselves in country’s music scene, was completed.
