Resumen
This research aims to determine the reading strategies used by secondary school teachers, so it is clear that there is a problem of reading comprehension in high school students in the public sector. This is reflected in the low results obtained in the reading tests at national and international level. One of the causes for this problem is the lack of use of reading strategies by teachers in different areas of knowledge. It is necessary for teachers to educate students about the multiple uses of written material that their subjects involve and use to guide them meaningfully. They take advantage of the best academic results and teachers in all areas by providing the students' needs in the development of the reading process as well as improving their learning and developing the skills necessary to interpret the intentionality of a text of any kind.
