Resumen
The main objective of this project is to formulate a comprehensive solid waste management plan in the Boston neighborhood of Fontibón, as this neighborhood does not currently have adequate management of solid waste, due to the lack of information on the part of the community about this specific topic. The research was divided into three stages, in the first stage the field of action is established, the information is collected and a checklist is made in the second stage, roughly, the population to be surveyed was determined, the population survey was carried out and the solid waste characterization was performed by means of the quartering method, during 3 months, where it was found that the highest percentage of waste is equivalent to organic waste, in the third stage, the elaboration of alternatives is made based on the results obtained previously; some of the alternatives proposed were, Program of separation in the source that includes, trainings, brochures and children's games. Waste presentation program covering, artistic creation workshops, Sporadic meetings to solve questions and Enhance good practices of separation within the same community. Collection and transport program that includes Signage of each of the points of disposal and collection, Social integration with people working with recycling, among others. These alternatives were designed to take advantage of waste and reduce the amount of solid waste destined to the city's landfill.
