Resumen
The objective of this thesis is the design and construction of a test bench in which the losses that exist in the system due to the friction existing in the pipes flowing under pressure are measured. Due to this, a series of hydraulic studies and alculations must be implemented to predict the behavior of pressurized water by varying materials, diameters, and accessories of the system. The design proposed for the manufacture of the system is done through the theoretical foundation to obtain data on lengths, pressures, flows and practical coefficients that will be compared with the theoretical coefficients, to obtain data necessary for the design of networks or to be able to choose pumps that are compatible with the system. The construction of the bench consists of using pipes of equal length, varied diameter, and material, looking for a change of roughness, the following PVC materials should be used leaving the inclusion of materials such as Galvanized Iron and PVC in order to expand the variety of materials and roughness, diameters from 12.7 mm (1/2") to 50.8 mm (2") will be used. The system will be available for academic use by students and laboratory staff of the hydraulics laboratory.
