Resumen
A comprehensive solid waste management plan PIGRS is a planning instrument with an environmental focus, focused on managing solid waste efficiently, aimed at reducing and optimizing it. These plans are composed of a series of steps such as: diagnosis, review, planning, verification and control, which are directed to a list of activities that must be projected efficiently.
The Mayor's Office of Natagaima, Tolima, is carrying out a series of updates in programs oriented to the management and optimization of resources, which has shown that many of the programs currently being executed do not focus on environmental problems, since the criteria were not identified. environmental aspects of the entity's general management, currently the Natagaima Mayor's Office does not have an institutional solid waste management plan (PIGRS).
A comprehensive solid waste management plan aims to establish continuous improvement strategies, complying with national principles and policies, with the aim of reflecting on good environmental practices focused on the care and good management of natural resources, under the respective reduction of solid waste, aligning with national laws and international treaties.
