Teatro al Aula: Para Reconocernos como Sujetos de Derechos

Abstract

The following research was carried out in the locality of San Cristóbal with students of the I.E.D El Rodeo, this one looked for that the students were recognized like subjects of rights, empowered about them and conscious of their reality. The project goes through three fundamental stages: 1. Participant observation: it was transversal in the whole project, here we investigated the problems that students go through, where social problems were highlighted, such as lack of food, economic resources, little recreation and health problems. 2. Conceptualization - sensitization: through the artistic and aesthetic experience in the theater of the oppressed the children's rights, the situations of their violation and the ways of defending them were made known. 3. Deepening and creation: students recognized their rights through theater improvisations and made them visible in the collective creation of the work chain of rights. Participation plays a fundamental role in the project where the voice of the students is heard and taken into account, it was wanted to reach a true and effective participation where they and them proposed strategies to transform reality. The research project is committed to the theater of the oppressed as a pedagogical strategy with many qualities to change and transform realities and raise awareness of the general population that one can dream of a more promising future.
