Resumen
This document presents the calculations and design plans developed for the system of pump room 2, responsible for supplying water to residential towers 5 to 9 in the Ebro residential complex, located in the city of Bogotá. The main objective is to address the water, mechanical and electrical difficulties facing the current system. At the same time, we are looking to upgrade equipment to make it more reliable and economical to maintain.
The project focuses on generating a complete proposal, including all relevant documentation, associated costs, possible variations and a preventive maintenance plan. To do this, we began by estimating water demands and working pressures with the help of aqueduct meters, in order to compare the data with the methods described in the Colombian plumbing code (ICONTEC, 2020). The detailed design required measurements of water consumption over a 15-day period to obtain values closer to the estimated reality. In addition, the operating pressure range was verified to be appropriate for water delivery points at the entrance of each apartment in the building. The final result includes three pumps, a control board with three start systems, a drive and the alternation was raised by a PLC controller. The water system was validated using EPANET software. The control system was verified with the help of the CADESIMU program. In addition to this, the assembly drawings of the subsystems that make up the equipment were made. In addition, the tables of prices for each component and the estimated labour costs for the project were generated. Finally, a proposal for a preventive maintenance plan is presented based on information gathered from experience and a history of failures.
