Propuesta de implementación de un biodigestor en la finca Las Manas para el aprovechamiento de residuos orgánicos

Abstract

This project proposes implementing a biodigester on the LAS MANAS farm, located in the municipality of Tena, Cundinamarca, Which is a dedicated to agricultural production and the raising of pigs, cows, and chickens. Currently, it faces challengues in organic waste mangement and lack access to natural gas service, highlighting the need for a solution that improves waste management and provides energy for domestic stoves. The proposal introduces the theory of anaerobic digestion and the types of biodigesters applicable to the farm´s situacion. The specific objetives include and initial assessment of the farm’s conditions and the available amount of organic matter, evaluation of the most suitable type of biodigester, and a feasibility study for its implementation. Finally, it is concluded that the use of a tubular biodigester maked the project viable with the available organiac matter, offering a nine month return on investment, which maked it economically feasible for the family.
