Resumen
This research explores the integration of two scenic languages: Floorwork (Piso Móvil) from contemporary dance and Aerial Dance on silks, aiming to expand their expressive and dramaturgical possibilities. Through a series of exploration and creation laboratories, the study examined how principles such as weight management, fluidity, and continuity of movement from Floorwork can be applied to aerial practice. The methodology involved a comparative relational study between both disciplines, exercises of transferring sequences from floor to air and vice versa, and the creation of a solo piece that embodied the practical findings. Results show that, although physical limitations make it challenging to directly transfer qualities like fluidity into aerial work, the dialogue between the two disciplines generates new forms of movement, scenic narratives, and ways of inhabiting the fabric. This project contributes to the reflection on the construction of a hybrid body, capable of transitioning between ground and air, and proposes a pedagogical and creative framework useful for performers and creators in the performing arts.
