Resumen
In the year 2019 in Colombia about 120,000 hectares of forest were consumed by forest fires nationwide. This situation is observed repeatedly each year due to dry atmospheric cycles and poor treatment of the land for livestock and planting purposes (ECOLOGIC, 2019). The above and due to the fact that the Amazon Basin enters into the non-interconnected areas (NIC) of the country due to its population density of 0.7 inhabitants/km2 , led to the interest of studying and quantifying the energy potential of residual forest biomass (RBM) and energy crops (BRCE) in the Brazilian-Colombian Amazon, such research is carried out based on data provided by government agencies in each country. For the development, the regions of study are delimited and research parameters are established that allow the collection of quantifiable information such as the amount of biomass available and the amount in hectares where this biomass is found. Based on this, theoretical and technical energy potential results are obtained in the selected departments and states.
