Caracterización y determinación de fauna terrestre, de las clases de aves y Mammalia, para la fase de diagnóstico en el proceso de revisión y actualización del POMCA del río Sumapaz, para la Corporación Autónoma Regional CAR

This document is the product of the activities developed under the framework of the Internship modality carried out with the Autonomous Regional Corporation of Cundinamarca (CAR), through which the characterization and determination of terrestrial fauna of the birds and Mammalia classes present in the basin of the Sumapaz River, specifically in the municipalities of Cabrera, Tibacuy, Nilo and Venice, based on the Rapid ecological assessment methodology (TNC, 2005) and the available secondary information (management plan for watershed management [POMCA], 2014). A total of 307 species of birds and 58 species of mammals are reported for the Sumapaz river basin. Among the birds, the Passerine, Apodiformes, and Piciform orders stand out, as well as 10 threatened species and 3 endemic species for Colombia. For mammals, the most representative groups are Chiroptera, Carnivora and Rodentia, including 3 species in threat situation for Colombia. In this sense, it contributes to the update of the diagnostic phase of the formulation of the plans of management and ordering of hydrographic basins POMCAS, of the Sumapaz River, for the Regional Autonomous Corporation CAR.
