Resumen
IDF curves (intensity - duration - frequency) are designated as measures precipitation of a place. These are made using a statistical analysis in which data were collected in different seasons through pluviographic instruments.
IDF curves search information of three main factors:
The intensity that measures the volume of rainfall for a reason to change the time. The duration which is the time while the event takes place.. The frequency that measures the probability of the event.
The research project aims to collect enough data to generate IDF curves of the rainfall stations of Chiscas and Campohermoso located in the department of Boyaca.
The points obtained in the field are awarded by the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies of Colombia (IDEAM), then proceeds to the data selection and filtering of points that discard other redundant or useless information that interfere with the objective of the research.
Late rare to be used research methods to analyze the data in terms of frequency or return period the rains on the stations mentioned above and finally the curves are generated in order to give effect to approach the problem mentioned
