Resumen
Promoting mental health in the workplace and supporting people with mental illness will lead to reduced absenteeism, higher productivity and economic benefits for both workers and companies. Work has a double connotation in people's mental health. On one hand, it is a beneficial and protective factor for her and for another, it can be a detrimental element. Working is one of the most important things for human beings because it gives a feeling of success, it allows learning, having social interactions, creating routines, but it can also be a source of concern if the money is not enough, if there is workplace harassment or the conditions are not good. Even when retirement time is coming or you are retired. All this can cause anxiety and depression because of this the World Organization of Health (WHO) has pointed out that harassment and intimidation at work are problems that can have considerable negative effects on mental health. Likewise, the National Mental Health Survey (2015) showed that overwork, uncertain labor contracts or the lack of employment are having a great impact on the Mental health of Colombians.
