Resumen
Low academic performance and lack of interest in learning inorganic chemistry, particularly in formulating and balancing chemical equations, represent a significant educational challenge. This study proposes the development of a mobile application based on visual interactive simulations and serious game elements, with the aim of improving the learning experience and encouraging active participation of students. It is based on mobile learning, microlearning, discovery learning and reinforcement approaches, integrating educational video game development methodologies. The application allows the visual manipulation of molecules and the simulation of the reaction and equation balancing process, optimizing the understanding of chemical concepts. To evaluate its impact, a quasi-experimental study was designed with university students, applying pre- and post-use tests of the tool. It is expected that the incorporation of interactive technologies in the teaching of chemistry will contribute to improving academic performance and student motivation.
