Resumen
In this document, the development of a software programmed in Visual Basic language is presented, with which it is possible to calculate the pavement condition index (PCI) in flexible, rigid, articulated pavements and unsurfaced roads, performing automatically the division by sampling units based on the dimensions of the evaluated pavement, damage assignment, calculation of deduct values and generation of PCI results per sampling unit and evaluated section. The purpose of this software is to reduce processing times, automating the most time-consuming and repetitive processes, as well as significantly reducing the chances of human errors occurring during the calculation of the PCI value. For the development of this software, initially the research and compilation of the base information was carried out, which dictates the guidelines and regulations for the calculation of the PCI in the four types of pavement to be evaluated, followed by this, it was established which is the correct procedure, with which the calculation of the PCI is carried out in each of the mentioned pavements. With the defined procedure, the code was formulated by which the software performs the PCI calculation appropriately and returns the results correctly, which were validated with a traditional PCI evaluation.
