Resumen
Cold equipment is essential in the health sector, but in recent decades they have caused negative environmental effects due to their contribution to global warming and the depletion of the ozone layer due to their high energy consumption and the use of Ozone Depleting Substances, Due to this, the Instituto Nacional de Salud, the entity in charge of public health surveillance in Colombia, has carried out a technological renovation project, focused on the equipment of the cold family of the institution, with the objective of replacing obsolete equipment for efficient equipment that contributes to reducing energy consumption, the consumption of Ozone Depleting Substances and the emission of Greenhouse Gases. Regulatory, technological and environmental aspects were taken into account to carry out the energy diagnosis of the refrigeration equipment of the Instituto Nacional de Salud to prioritize the change and acquisition of new equipment, and for the final disposal of the old ones. All of this is framed within the District Environmental Business Recognition Program (PREAD) of the Secretaría de Ambiente de Bogotá.
