Abstract

Contribute to the role of the Botanical Garden of Bogotá (José Celestino Mutis) in the conservation of endemic plant species of the High Andean Forest, from the importance of mutualism for conservation and environmental education allowed to generate awareness in students about the ecosystemic relevance and the understanding of the interdependence of these forests increasingly transformed, and whose ecological role is important for the maintenance of a large part of the biodiversity of the country, for this reason this work was developed focused on the importance of mutualism for the conservation of the High Andean Forest, through an environmental experience carried out in said entity, with a constructivist approach to teaching and under a qualitative interpretive paradigm, where, through 3 phases (contextualization, introduction to new knowledge and application) students of the line of strengthening the educational policy of the Botanical Garden of Bogotá (José Celestino Mutis) were provided with tools so that they can apply their knowledge in actions that allow the conservation of the High Andean Forest.
