Resumen
This document addresses the theoretical foundations of indicated airspeed (IAS), dynamic pressure measurement and the electronic components necessary for the development of a functional prototype of a digital speedometer applied to light aircraft (LSA). Throughout the work, the MPX2200DP differential pressure sensor is characterized, identifying its limitations and proposing an adjusted conversion function to achieve useful readings from its output signal. The architecture of the embedded system based on ESP32 is described, including the use of the ADS1115 converter to improve the reading resolution, as well as the implementation of a graphical interface using a TFT screen that allows the speed to be displayed interactively. The tests carried out, the analysis of errors and uncertainties are documented, and the functional validation of the system is concluded. Finally, recommendations are presented to improve the prototype, focused on the use of more precise sensors and hardware.
