Resumen
The research project entitled Literary Competence in Poetry Reading seeks to strengthen poetic reading by means of literary workshops. Four key moments are developed: the theoretical construction from authors such as Larrosa (2003) and Paz (2003), the qualitative research methodology with an action research design, the intervention proposal and the analysis of the findings from the aesthetic experience. This research was carried out with a group of secondary students from cycle IV of the Colombian education system (ninth grade) in a state school located in the South - West of Bogota. The investigation is concluded with its different contributions from the pedagogical and didactic aspects, in terms of retrieving the students’ reading experiences to achieve the comprehension of the poem, and their reflective, propositional and creative capacity. Furthermore, the importance of the project in the literary field is acknowledged as well as the teacher’s work and the possible transformations in the classroom.
