Priorización de predios para la conservación y protección del recurso hídrico y su cuenca. Aplicación en la quebrada María Ramos, Chiquinquirá, Boyacá, Colombia.

Abstract

The main objective of this document is the prioritization of strategic areas for the conservation and protection of the water resource of the María Ramos creek, in the municipality of Chiquinquirá, Boyacá, Colombia; for this, the adaptation and application of the methodology proposed by Gutiérrez, Zambrano, & Ospina (2015) in the upper part of the micro-basin is carried out; as well as the multicriteria analysis of the physical-environmental, normative, socio-economic and cultural components from the superposition of thematic cartographies through geographic information systems. Once the most important areas are determined, the cadastral cartography is superimposed and the areas to be prioritized are identified, obtaining a total of 41 properties, in order to provide a tool for decision-making that guarantees conservation, continuity and water supply in the territory. In this sense and, as a conclusion, it is possible to affirm that from the characterization of the territory by components, the strategic zones for the conservation and protection of the hydric resource are located in the highest part of the micro-basin, these should be prioritized within the selection of areas for the execution of projects and investments that contribute to the improvement of the water supply.
