Resumen
The dynamics of violence in Colombia as result of the armed conflict have been inscribed in the daily lives of all its inhabitants, in such a we have had to build a life in the midst of the conflict itself. Therefore, the teaching of the armed conflict as a socio-political problem was the base for this research process which is inquiring for the teaching-learning processes of recent history in schools. The research objective was to design and apply a pedagogic proposal aimed at students to understand how the historical memory of the armed conflict in Colombia is reconstructed through the use of the photograph of Jesús Abad Colorado, from the emblematic case known as the Bojayá massacre (2002). Here is exposed the systematization of the experience at the INEM Francisco de Paula Santander School, during the first semester of 2023, with high school students. The results provided evidence that photography is a significant strategy, in school scenarios, for students to recognize historical memory as a process that confers different meanings to the recent history of the country.
