Resumen
The work analyzes the concept of the word "peace" built discursively by the counterparts that supported or not the plebiscite for peace held in November 2016 in Colombia. The study was focused on the context of social networks due to the boom they have had in recent years for this type of campaign. Two representative figures were chosen in the political sphere, for the position of the IS, to the president Juan Manuel Santos of the periods (2010-2018) and for the NO, to the senator and ex president Álvaro Uribe Vélez, choosing the social network Twitter for its high political content and its main characteristic, which is the way in which its messages are transmitted (tweets), also because that is where these opinion leaders have publicly expressed their points of view. For the theoretical framework, the model of Teun van Dick was used, complementing the categories proposed by Michael Foucault, and the postulates on the peace of the sociologist Johan Galtung were taken into account. The methodology used was the one proposed by Norman Fairclough and his three fields of discourse analysis for a better understanding of the selected corpus, namely: the most relevant tweets of each of the politicians previously named on two dates that marked the beginning and the end of the plebiscite, the first of which is on September 26, in which the agreements were signed and the second on October 2, in which the vote and subsequent reading of the results of the plebiscite was carried out.
